Fur coats are making a comeback, and this season they look cooler than ever.
In recent years, due to the growing awareness of animal rights, commercially available furs come from synthetic hair but are just as impressive as real animal fur. Since a couple of years ago, many famous designers have decided to switch to ecological and cruelty free production lines, so they launched a faux fur-fake fur (good quality of course) making us even more aware of the issue.
Here’s how to wear the hottest trend of the season.
From the extremely bright, colorful choices and animal prints to the classic and timeless pieces, there is definitely an artificial fur coat to suit everyone.
Plus, faux fur is not only an evening item but can be worn from morning to evening.
Style it with sneakers or ankle boots for coffee, a walk to the shops and a drink at night, it’s an option that will always make you stand out!
If you want to refresh your old coat, then you can buy a small piece of any synthetic fur coat in the colors of this season, which can be added on, as a collar, and create a completely different and cool style.
If you are looking for something a little more adventurous, you might want to consider a sleeveless coat or vest that will give you the opportunity to wear your favorite old leather while staying in fashion!
On the other hand, if you have a long coat that you are tired of, you can make it shorter.
I would definitely recommend Samaras furs, a family owned Greek company that has years of experience in the fashion industry, featuring the latest in fur processing and can transform your old fur coat into a completely cool new coat, taken from famous fashion shows!
As a fan of colour, I personally prefer wearing colours from head to toe!
If you only have one choice, I would suggest getting it in neutral colours so you can wear it over bright clothing. I love the bold colours in dresses, so my first purchase for a coat was a camel coat for gorgeous 70s looks.
Seeing that this year colour-blocking is a major autumn trend, thanks to those who know their wow colours (from the colour diagnosis – house of colour), you can’t go wrong with trying a mustard or chestnut if you are an autumn.
A gray dove or red of fire if you are in spring. A pastel blue or zade if you are summer or red berry or blue electric if you are winter (depending on our skin’s undertones, we rank in 4 seasons – see my own colour story for more info).
Regarding your style, you can see the corresponding article that explains the different styles, varieties and how to find the perfect coat for you!
You will find plenty: a two-tone or hombre fur, with 3/4 sleeves to match with gloves, or oversized to wear them with a jacket, long or short, for all occasions and bodies! Dare and make a difference this year.
